Neraca is an offline-first personal finance app for iPhone and iPad. It tracks wallets, transactions, budgets, assets, debts, saving goals, and recurring payments, and imports Indonesian bank and e-wallet statements on-device. Neraca 1.0 launches first on the Indonesian App Store.

2. Frequently Asked Questions
2.1 Where is my financial data stored?
Everything you enter in Neraca (wallets, transactions, budgets, assets, debts, goals, recurring schedules and import rules) is stored only on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s SwiftData framework. There is no account, no login, and no Neraca server, so nobody but you can see your finances.
2.2 Which banks and e-wallets can I import from?
Version 1.0 supports:
- BNI, Jenius, and GoPay: PDF statements
- DANA: PDF statement or screenshot
- OVO: transaction history screenshot
- Stock broker Matched Orders: screenshot, imported as a stock holding
Open Settings and choose the matching row under Import Transactions or Import Investments. Want another bank supported? Send us a request.
2.3 Are my statements uploaded anywhere when I import them?
No. PDFs are read with Apple’s PDFKit and screenshots with Apple’s on-device Vision text recognition. The file never leaves your device, and you review every row in a preview before anything is saved. Neraca flags likely duplicates and tidies up long reference codes in titles, while keeping the original statement text in each transaction’s note.
2.4 Why are some imported transactions already categorized?
When you change a category, or mark a row as a transfer, during an import preview, Neraca saves that as a local import rule. The next time the same merchant or account appears in a statement, the rule is applied automatically. Rules live on your device with the rest of your data.
2.5 How do I back up my data or move it to a new iPhone?
Go to Settings › Backup & Restore, tap Create Backup, then Share Backup File to save the .neraca file to Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or anywhere you like. On the new device, install Neraca and tap Restore from Backup.
Restoring replaces all current data. Before it does, Neraca saves a safety copy of your existing data to Files › On My iPhone › Neraca › Safety Backups (the three most recent are kept), so a restore can be undone. Neraca data is also included in your regular iCloud or computer device backup.
A .neraca file is a readable copy of your finances and is not password-protected, so store and share it the way you would a bank statement.
2.6 What is the daily limit, and what does Neraca Pro unlock?
The free version includes every feature and lets you add 5 new items per day, counted together across transactions, recurring schedules, assets, goals, and debts (including their follow-ups such as goal contributions, debt payments, and asset trades). The allowance resets at midnight.
Edits, statement and screenshot imports, restoring a backup, and recurring transactions posted automatically never count. Neraca Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the limit permanently. There is no subscription.
2.7 How do I restore Neraca Pro on another device?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, then open Settings › Neraca Pro and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple, so Neraca never sees your payment details. For refunds, use Apple’s Report a Problem page.
2.8 How does App Lock work?
Turn it on in Settings › Security. Neraca then hides your balances whenever you leave the app (including in the app switcher) and asks for Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to reopen. Because the passcode is always accepted, a failed Face ID scan can’t lock you out of your own data. App Lock needs a device passcode to be set.
2.9 Can I use Neraca in Bahasa Indonesia?
Yes. Neraca follows your device language on first launch, and you can switch between English and Bahasa Indonesia at any time in Settings › Language.
2.10 Is there a widget?
Yes. Add the New Transaction widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen to jump straight into adding a transaction. The widget shows no balances or financial data.
2.11 Does Neraca support currencies other than rupiah?
Not yet. Version 1.0 records all amounts in Indonesian rupiah (IDR). You can still track foreign-currency holdings as an asset. Choosing a different app currency is planned for a future update.
2.12 How do I delete all my data?
Use Settings › Reset › Erase All Data to delete every transaction, wallet, budget, asset, debt, and goal and start fresh with the default categories. Safety backups in the Files app are kept so you can recover from a mistake; delete them from Files › On My iPhone › Neraca if you no longer want them. Deleting the Neraca app removes everything stored inside it.
2.13 Which devices are supported?
Neraca requires iOS 17.0 or later on iPhone, or iPadOS 17.0 or later on iPad.
3. Report a Problem
If you run into a bug, a statement that won’t import, or a crash, please email support.neraca.app@gmail.com with as much of the following as you can:
- Device model: e.g., iPhone 15, iPad Air (M2)
- iOS / iPadOS version: found in Settings › General › About
- Neraca version: shown at the bottom of Neraca’s Settings under Info
- Steps to reproduce: what you tapped or entered right before the issue
- For import problems: the bank or e-wallet and the statement period. Please do not attach a real statement unless you’re comfortable sharing it; a screenshot with account numbers and names blacked out is usually enough.
Neraca contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, so your reports are the main way we find and fix issues.
