Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Retire O’Clock is built to work entirely without a server. We run no backend infrastructure, require no user accounts or logins, collect zero analytics, serve zero advertisements, and engage in zero tracking. All your financial targets, savings records, and projection numbers live exclusively on your device.
This Privacy Policy explains how Retire O’Clock ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"), developed by Fadhil Hanri, handles your information when you use our mobile application for iOS and iPadOS. We believe personal financial data should remain strictly confidential, and our architecture reflects that commitment.
1. Summary
Retire O’Clock does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or financial information. The App functions as an offline, on-device utility:
- No account required: You never need to register, provide an email address, or create a password.
- No server backend: We operate no external databases or servers that receive your financial plans.
- No tracking or analytics: The App contains no third-party tracking SDKs, analytics suites, or telemetry trackers.
- No ads: There are no advertising frameworks or data-broker integrations.
Your data resides only in the App's sandboxed local storage on your device. The only ways data moves off your device are standard user-initiated actions, such as saving an encrypted backup to your personal iCloud account or exporting a summary file you choose to share.
2. Information Handled by the App
To be clear about the term "collect": we do not collect any data. The App stores the following items locally on your device solely to calculate your retirement trajectory:
2.1 Information You Enter
When you use the App, you may enter:
- Current age and targeted retirement age
- Current savings and investment balance
- Monthly savings and contribution rates
- Annual contribution growth / salary raise assumptions
- Desired future monthly living expenses
- Expected annual investment return, inflation rate, and safe withdrawal rate
- Lump-sum schedule entries (e.g. THR, bonuses, annual dividend disbursements)
- Personal scenario notes or milestone labels
All of this information is saved directly to your device's local database via Apple's SwiftData framework. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly back up or export it.
2.2 Device Features, Contacts, and Location
Retire O’Clock does not access your contacts, camera, photo library, microphone, or precise location. No permissions for these features are requested or used.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
We do not collect usage analytics, interaction logs, device fingerprints, or crash telemetry. We do not include third-party software development kits (SDKs) such as Google Firebase, Meta SDK, Mixpanel, or PostHog in our iOS binaries.
2.4 Technical Preferences Stored Locally
The App stores basic interface preferences locally using Apple's standard system settings (UserDefaults):
- Appearance preference (Light, Dark, or System)
- Active scenario or preset selection
These preferences remain strictly on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
2.5 Crash and Problem Reports
Because Retire O’Clock contains no automated telemetry or crash reporting tools, we cannot detect crashes automatically. If you encounter a bug or unexpected behavior, you may voluntarily report it by reviewing our Support & FAQ or emailing lautbirustudio@gmail.com. Any diagnostic details you include in that email are provided voluntarily and used solely to diagnose and resolve the issue.
3. On-Device Financial Calculations & Simulations
All compounding calculations, inflation projections, future expense adjustments, safe withdrawal rate derivations, and Monte Carlo scenario models execute entirely in memory on your device's processor. No financial figures are uploaded to remote servers or cloud AI models for processing.
4. Network Connections & Offline Operation
Retire O’Clock is designed to function completely offline without an active internet connection. The App initiates no network requests to verify licenses, check telemetry, or sync data.
If you choose to tap an external link inside the App (such as developer support, the web-based calculator, or this Privacy Policy), the URL opens in your system browser (Safari) or mail client. Those interactions are subject to the policies of the respective websites and Apple.
5. Device Backups (iCloud & Local)
Depending on your iOS settings, your device may back up the App's local SwiftData store to your personal Apple account:
- iCloud Backup: When iCloud Backup is enabled on your iPhone or iPad, the App's sandboxed data is included in your encrypted device backup. This backup is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your iCloud account or backups. You can manage or disable app backups at any time in your device Settings (Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups).
- Computer Backups: When you back up your device locally using Finder on macOS or Apple Devices / iTunes on Windows, the App's local files are included in that backup.
6. Data Storage and Security
All application data is stored in the App's sandboxed container on your iOS device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Under iOS application sandboxing, no other third-party application on your device can read or access Retire O’Clock's database.
Data on your device is protected by iOS hardware-based Data Protection and encryption when your device is locked with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. Because we maintain no servers or central databases, there is no remote database susceptible to data breaches on our end.
7. Financial Privacy & Sensitive Numbers
We recognize that personal net worth, income, retirement aspirations, and expense budgets are sensitive personal information. We designed Retire O’Clock with privacy by design: the most secure way to protect your financial calculations is to never collect them in the first place.
8. Children's Privacy
Retire O’Clock is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. In fact, we collect no personal information from any user of any age. If you believe any personal data has been transmitted inadvertently, please contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights & Data Control
Because all your data remains exclusively on your device, you possess total, instantaneous control over your data:
- Access: All data is viewable inside the App at any time.
- Rectification: You can edit any parameter, savings amount, or projection variable directly within the interface.
- Deletion: You can reset or clear all data within the App's settings, or delete the App entirely from your device to instantly erase all local data stores.
If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Indonesia (under the Personal Data Protection Law / UU PDP), California, or other jurisdictions with comprehensive data protection laws, your statutory rights to access, rectify, port, or erase personal data are fulfilled directly by the App's local-first architecture without needing to submit a formal data subject request.
10. Data Retention
Data remains on your device until you choose to modify it, reset it, or delete the App. We do not retain copies on any external server or cloud service.
11. Third-Party Services & SDKs
Retire O’Clock integrates zero third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics suites. The App relies solely on official Apple developer frameworks:
SwiftData/CoreData— Local database storage.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect enhancements to the App or changes in legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App following any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
